The Australian Rugby Union is delighted to announce the launch of the 2017 HSBC Volunteer of the Year Award. The award aims to recognise those who volunteer their time and make a significant contribution to community rugby across Australia.
The Award considers any person, of any age, who has volunteered in a role (or a few roles) for grassroots Rugby in the past two years. We want to celebrate those true heroes and heroines who make a significant contribution to grassroots rugby; those individuals who keep the game going; and will leave a true legacy for others to benefit from. The HSBC Volunteer of the Year is a role model who inspires others to get involved in rugby, and exhibits ARU’s values of passion, integrity, discipline, respect and teamwork.
Nominations for 2017 HSBC Volunteer of the Year open Monday 17 July.
