Community Coach of the Year Nominees

Nominees have been announced for the 2015 Asteron Life Community Coach of the Year Award.

Congratulations to the more than 300 nominees for the 2015 Asteron Life Community Coach of the Year Award.

This award recognises the dedicated coaches who give up so much of their time to mentor our players and teach the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and the skills of our great game. Without community coaches like these, I know for a fact that many of our Wallabies wouldn't be where they are today.

The nominations came from all around the country – city and regional, male and female, junior and senior coaches. There are certainly some incredible stories of inspiration and commitment out there in community rugby.

The winning coach will receive their award at the John Eales Medal on 27 August. They’ll also be given a cash grant for their club, and Qantas Wallabies Coach Michael Cheika will be visiting their team personally to run a training session.

All coaches must have completed a Smart Rugby course which provides education and training information that aims to promote a safe and enjoyable learning environment. See the attached link for more details. http://www.aru.com.au/coaching/
