2017 Buildcorp National Women's XVs Championship

The Buildcorp National Women’s XVs Championship is a National residential tournament for senior female players from state/territory and affiliate representative teams, conducted by the Australian Rugby Union.

The Buildcorp National Women’s XVs Championship is an important element of the Player Pathway at National, provincial, regional and affiliate level with the purpose to provide an effective platform for:

  1. the identification and development of each state/territories talented players, coaches, managers, referees and other officials
  2. the recruitment and retention of players, coaches, referees, managers and other officials;
  3. the benchmarking of talented women’s players;
  4. Assisting with the improvement of playing standards and development of the game in all participating states/territories and affiliates.
  5. Player development towards the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland

Venue: Sports Super Centre, 1 Sports Drive, Runaway Bay QLD
Arrival date: All teams arrive Thursday 11 May 2017
Match days: Friday 12 May, Saturday 13 May, Sunday 14 May 2017
Departure date: all teams depart on Sunday 14 May, post-Cup Presentation approx 2:30pm
Competing teams: Australian Rugby Union have offered invitations to State/Territory/affiliate representative teams to attend the Buildcorp National Women's XVs Championship, including:

Tournament Manual

The Tournament Manual is intended to set out the rules, regulations and operational information in all areas required by Participating Teams in planning and preparing for, and participating in, the 2017 Buildcorp National Women’s XVs Championship.

 

The sporting and operational success of the Championship depends upon Participating teams and team members complying with both the letter and the spirit of the Participation Agreement and Tournament Manual.

 

Participating Unions are obliged to comply with the requirements and responsibilities as specified in the Tournament Manual and should ensure that all necessary Team Management are familiar with the contents, including, the requirements of their team members.

 

Participating Unions are responsible for the actions of all persons under their control as defined in the Participation Agreement and Tournament Manual, and are accountable for the compliance of those persons with the Terms of Participation.


Participating Unions are subject to disciplinary action for any breach of the specifications included in the Participation Agreement and Tournament Manual.

 Monday 24 April Senior Rugby Dispensation (applicable only to player turning 17 years of age in this calendar year)  Using Schedule A and/or Schedule B dispensation forms, please send completed copy to  Competitions@rugby.com.au
 Monday 24 April Runaway Bay Team rooming list  Using the Team rooming list template, please send completed copy to Competitions@rugby.com.au
 Friday 28 April World Rugby Cardiac Screening Questionnaire  All players to complete. Completed Questionnaires to be sent to Team Manager
 Friday 28 April Electro-Cardiogram (ECG) All players to complete. Completed ECG reports to be sent to Team Manager
 Friday 28 April SCAT3 baseline concussion test All players to complete. Completed tests to be uploaded onto Smartabase
 Friday 28 April Anti-Doping - World Rugby E-Learning Course All players to complete. Certificate of Attainment scans to be sent to Team Manager
 Friday 28 April Anti-Corruption - World Rugby E-Learning Course All players to complete. Certificate of Attainment scans to be sent to Team Manager
 Friday 28 April Smart Rugby E-Learning course All players & Team Management to complete. Certificate of Completion scans to be sent to Team Manager
