The Spirit of Rugby

The Spirit of Rugby describes people's love of the game - its rich history, traditions, camaraderie, high standards of behaviour, community involvement and the feelings of national pride it evokes.

The Spirit of Rugby program uses stimulus materials, forums with players and awards for students to teach young Australians about pride, teamwork, camaraderie, tradition and other life values reflected in Rugby.

The Spirit of Rugby program complements all parts of the EdRugby program including resources and activities from For the classroom, For the field and For the experience programs and is relevant for Primary and Secondary school students, including PDHPE classes, sporting teams and leadership groups.

The Spirit of Rugby program complements the values outlined in the Federal Government's National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools.
